With our bait control system, termite colonies march to their death. As long as you keep your monitoring plan, we will continue to protect your structure against new subterranean termites. If we find anything, you’re covered against treatment costs.
HOW THE BAIT CONTROL SYSTEM WORKS:
- We perform a Termite Inspection to check for signs of a past or current subterranean termite infestation.
- Our trained specialists strategically install a series of termite monitoring stations in the ground around your structure.
- The monitoring stations are discovered by foraging termites near your structure, at this point, termite bait is added to the active stations and replaced as required.
- Once termites feed on the bait, they carry the control agent back to the colony nests and share it with other termites.
That’s it. You don’t have to do anything else. But, if termites dare show any sign of activity between your inspections, call us. We’ll re-inspect right away and stop them in their tracks.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CONTROL A TERMITE COLONY WITH BAIT?
Individual termites can be affected within a few days after consuming the bait, but it may take several months before an entire colony is controlled.
Timing varies depending on the time of year, geography, number of termites in the colony and the number of colonies attacking the structure.
WHAT’S IN THE TERMITE BAIT THAT MAKES IT SO EFFECTIVE AGAINST TERMITES?
The bait contains an insect growth regulator that prevents the successful completion of the termite’s vital moulting process. Because they are unable to moult, they cannot advance through their life cycle and they die.
HOW IS THE BAIT CONTROL SYSTEM MONITORED?
Once the system is installed, our service technician will regularly visit your building to check the system. If the system is active this will be 4 to 6 weekly, if inactive inspection will be 8 weekly.
IS OUR BAIT CONTROL SYSTEM EFFECTIVE IF A COLONY IS DIRECTLY UNDERNEATH OUR BUILDING?
These building-wreckers display continuous and random foraging behaviour, so even when they have found a good source for food, they constantly look for more.
We strategically place the bait stations in areas where the termites are likely to forage.
WHEN THE COLONY IS GONE, ARE THE STATIONS REMOVED?
No. Once the colony is gone, others may move into the area.
To keep your structure protected, we will continue to monitor the stations for evidence of a new colony as long as your contract agreement remains in effect.
